SUMMER IS ALMOST OVER AT CALLOWAY HILL and Our Reunion is NEXT MONTH!
August 12, 2026
Dear Caloway Family,
Along with many of you, Wilson and I have been traveling a lot this summer. I've not had enough spare time until now to update the website and gather photos for all the Family Albums. I did have a chance earlier though to create the photo book from our 2025 reunion. That's the cover and first page shown above. And now that summer is nearly over and school is starting up again, I'm hoping that many of you will be marking your calendars for the last Saturday in September for our annual reunion at Calloway Hill. September 26, 2026!!
Our oldest grandkids have enjoyed coming to North Carolina for the reunion and time at Lake Norman for the past three years. They've signed up to fly in again next month! It would be great to have even more Calloways at the 2026 reunion for them to meet.
There's a brand-new Calloway baby in the family! Andrew and Jenny Propst and their 2-year-old son Teddy welcomed August "Gus" Calloway Propst into the world on June 13, 2026.
Since it's so early in August, it's hard to believe that some of the kids are already back in school. And I'm assuming that soccer games and other school activities might keep some of our families from attending the reunion again this year. All those cute energetic young Calloways were certainly missed last year. We're all in favor of changing the date for the reunions if there would be another time agreeable to the majority of our young families. The older generations can work just about any date into our schedules. Let me get some opinions of your interest in keeping the reunions at Calloway Hill going as is, changing the date, or suspending the tradition all together.
At any rate, we're all in for 2026 and I'll be looking forward to seeing everyone who can make it on September 26th!
All the best to each one of you!

PS: I've added a new section to the website - MISCELLANEOUS PHOTOS! When I go on social media looking for posts from our families, I only snag pictures with people in them for each family album. But I often I encounter some great photos of nature and scenery in your Facebook and Instagram posts. This family has done a lot of traveling this summer and there are some great photos in this new section. Check it out!
PSS: This website is best viewed on a computer. Vertical photos don't fit very well into the Google templates, so often the photos are cut off. I miss the way I could place the photos in the Shutterfly albums, but I'm grateful that we still have a way to share our lives through the photos submitted.
